Augmented Reality

What is it?

Augmented Reality is the integration of digital information and imagery onto the real world in real time. It uses cutting edge technology to superimpose computer-generated images onto a user’s view of the world – providing an ‘Augmented’ experience.

Unlike virtual reality, which immerses users into a completely artificial environment, Augmented Reality uses the existing environment and enhances it with new information and incredible imagery.

With Augmented Reality, the possibilities are endless. It allows users to access digital content like videos, images, 3D virtual objects and data to supplement views of the real world – providing users with more information about their environments. As well as adding additional information, Augmented Reality has the ability to change and remove real world information – allowing certain pieces of content to be isolated to draw users attention.

Augmented Reality is a step beyond virtual reality, as it provides more freedom for users. The possibilities for event professionals are endless, as the experience can be accessed via your smartphone and tablet, or even Augmented Reality integrated glasses and head-mounted displays. Whichever technology is used, everyone is only one-step away from their Augmented Reality experience.

How we do it?

At Digital Popups, we specialise in Augmented Reality for events – where we believe the possibilities are endless. Whether you are looking to use the technology for corporate or family events. It enables our clients to create unique experiences for their customers or guests, which inspire, engage and influence in a memorable way.

  1. Download Zappar, our Augmented Reality free app
  2. Point the phone camera at the interact invitation, poster or brochure
  3. Listen, watch and interact with it
